We are very excited to officially announce our next Vineyard National Youth Camp: Vu(vu)kani – the name change is in honour of it being 2010 and al’.
Dates are 11 – 15 December and it is taking place just outside Bloemfontein. See below for a camp form.
We have had 2 wonderful events the last 2 years and encourage you to send your young people along – even if it is just 1 or 2 by themselves! This is a great opportunity for young people to meet others from around the country, to engage with God in worship, word and ministry, and to be encouraged and empowered in their own walk with the Lord and in “doing the stuff” of his kingdom.
Our focus this year will be: The Amazing Race – exploring cultural differences and reconciliation.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rob via email.

As you may well be aware, a leadership network has been formed within Vineyard South Africa to connect those reaching and serving young people (ages 0 – 30) in their church communities. This network has been in operation for just over a year. Previously known as ‘Young Guns’, we are now called the Junior African Vineyard Leadership Network (JAVLN). Our aim is to provide a support base for ministries to young people within Vineyard SA, through relationship, equipping and resourcing.

Vukani, our national youth camp, will be held outside PE from the 9 – 12 January 2009. This event was pioneered by 8 churches around the country and is open to ALL churches to bring about 10 young people (ages 16 – 25) from the ‘core’ of their group to be part of this inaugural event.

Purpose of this team is to:
1. Gather information as to who’s doing what and resource with other vineyards as to how to move forward in developing this over a 3 year period starting 2005
2. Create a set of values and standards [philosophy of ministry] for the vineyard movement in South Africa.
3. To train and present this philosophy to the movement.

When we speak of multi generational church we speak about every age group having every chance to minister and to be ministered to in every part of the life of church. These points and conclusions were made at the national conference for the AVC by members of various Vineyards in South Africa. The workshop broke into groups and these 5 key issues were discussed. Below are the responses from the various teams.
