Prayer BulletinFollowing our season of prayer preceding Easter, Costa and the National Leadership have felt the need to continue with a sustained focus on prayer within the movement. Our intention is to set aside the first Thursday of each month to pray and fast for the Lord’s mercy and grace. We believe that it is God who is stirring us to pray because of the work He has for us. Update on Monthly Prayer Bulletin

PrayEarlier this year, we engaged in our first ever prayer focus as a family of churches. It was timed to coincide with the period of Lent, and involved some exciting strategies under the great leadership given by Wayne Bouwer and Matt Campaigne-Scott. They focused us on Scriptural reflections in synch with the entire worldwide church’s lectionary program. They gave us a specific prayer topic for the nation and the SACLA giants, as well as each VCF in South Africa and each nation in our continent where we have active partnerships. They inspired us to pray together, and to fast once a week. There were prayer “triplets” where we were each invited to pray with, and for, two other pastoral leaders. (more…)

Zimbabwe Minsitry Trip Report

Andrew Christie from Willow Hill VCF reports on their recent ministry trip to Zimbabwe:

Friday night worship and ministry evening - I shared on “What is worship?

Most of the words were confirmed with ministry and the Lord moved powerfully. After a word 3 ladies responded, one ended up outside with Christine one of our ministry team for 45 minutes, weeping and the Lord bringing deep healing to a very painful past. I had a specific word about healing and a lady Irene came up for ministry. She saw me pray for someone who ‘went down’ so she sat down because as she told me later, she didn’t want to fall over! Matt called me over and said he saw her walking without her walking sticks. We prayed for her. (more…)
