Vineyard Youth Leaders Gathering
Date: 10 – 14 May
Venue: Centurion VCF, Gauteng
Cost: R200 for food, accommodation is free, bring some extra for a meal out and any fun stuff we may decide to do.
Travel: pay your own way, if flying please try to land in Lanseria if possible (Kulula.com). Aim to be there on the Monday morning, and leave Friday morning.

Why are we gathering?
This is the 4th year we will be gathering. Over the years we have seen a marked growth in relationships within our network as we have spent time hanging out, hearing each others stories and having fun (and food!) together. We have shared openly and honestly with one another and many find it a great place to be refreshed and receive a boost for the year. We have also spent time talking about youth ministry, tackling issues, asking questions and dreaming for a different future. A real sense of relationship and unity has developed within the group. Out of these friendships flow encouragement and support for one another. We have also run 2 national youth camps with a 3rd planned for December this year.
What are we going to be doing?
The week will start with time for sharing, hearing each other and where we (and our ministries) are at. We will have some times of input and discussion around youth ministry which will hopefully help you in your work back at home. There will be times of planning for our December camp as well as dreaming about where we (as a group) are growing next. What is God calling us to? We will have times of prayer and worship, and hopefully time for youth leaders to reflect on where they are at and what God is saying to them at this point. And we definitely make space for food, for having fun, telling jokes, playing games, relaxing and sleeping. On the Thursday we will spend some time on a tour of Soweto (and hopefully the Apartheid Museum) and have a meal out somewhere there.
All those who have been before have enjoyed and benefitted from this week. We hope your youth leader will be one of them this year!
